Every child deserves to feel safe, respected and heard.
At STAGES Community Services, child safety is central to how we operate, make decisions and deliver support. Our approved Child Safety Risk Management Plan (STG-CS-006) establishes a framework for identifying, assessing, controlling and reviewing risks to children and young people. Our approach is informed by the NSW Child Safe Standards.
Our safeguarding commitments
- Preventing harm: Proactive risk assessment, safety planning and review across our services.
- Safe and suitable workers: Screening, verification, induction, training, supervision and professional boundaries.
- Listening to children: Accessible ways for children and young people to express their views and raise concerns.
- Cultural safety and inclusion: Respect for identity, culture, disability, communication needs and family connections.
- Responding to concerns: Procedures for disclosures, incidents, escalation and reporting to relevant authorities.
- Accountability: Management oversight, documentation and continuous improvement.
Our promise to children and young people
